This is my second Explosion Box that I made (I forgot to take pictures of the first before I gave it away). These are so much fun to make. And the people receiving them are tickled pink! I can't wait to make more!

Thank you for your kind comments! I have seen them here at SCS and had to make one. Here are some other examples from the gallery: Aren't they amazing? Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I didn't want the inside folds so I cut these corners off. Easy.
To attach the flowers/butterfly I used acetate - clear, see through paper (I didn't know where to buy this on PEI so I cut some strips off a sheet that clear stamps came on). I punched a tiny hole in one end and attached the flower and leaves with a brad through that hole. The butterfly is glued to one end of the acetate. I put five little slits into the bottom square that was to be glued in the center of the box. I inserted the acetate strips into these slits and played around with it until it looked nice. (Remember not to make it too tall. The cover of the box has to fit on. ) Bend the acetate and use a glue dot to adhere it to the bottom of the square. Glue the whole square onto the center of the box.
I hope that makes sense. It's easier to do than explain the steps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
