Another Mother's Day card, this one was for my mother-in-law. Her favorite color is blue, so I went with a monochromatic theme for this card.
I had yet to use the really cool not quite navy polka dot vellum from Taste of Textiles, so I thought it would be perfect for my MIL's card!
I decided to pair bashful blue with the not quite navy, to soften it up a bit. I stamped the rose on bashful blue cs with NQN ink, then I cut it out. I stamped the smaller flower (not sure what it is, maybe a poppy?) on the whisper white panel in NQN ink. I layered the polka dot vellum over this with anywhere glue stick (it doesn't show through the vellum!). I died the white organza ribbon with NQN reinker (mixed with water in a cup). I attached the rose to the ribbon with dimensionals. I added the brads as a little final touch. Okay, truthfully, I find it almost IMPOSSIBLE to not use brads!
Thanks for looking!
