Happy Mother's Day everyone! You're either a mother or honoring a mother, right?!!! And for our FS118, Debbie what a great day to be chosen...kind of like icing on the cake! I enjoyed perusing your gallery, you certainly wear alot of hats...I think I like the stamp designer one most of all. Fun stamps~~~cute cards. I chose this one for it's clean, simple style. I added color, but kept the layout the same, with a similar narrow ribbon, moved the sentiment to the top, but kept the masculine feel. I needed one I could get finished before my family wakes.
This is going postal for someone special who celebrated her birthday SEVERAL months ago. I'm one of those fussy stampers that has to have all the planets, COPICS, paper aligned before I can create. Your card, Debbie, was the impetus I needed to get it finished. Oh, I had my very fun chef all cut, colored, paper pieced months ago, hanging 'round my studio...waiting for the perfect moment to come to life! So sorry to my sistah it's late...or maybe just another reason to celebrate!
I used Art Impressions chef. He was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black onto GP white cs. The tie, chocolate frosting, latte cups and apron were all paper pieced. I added pearl buttons to his uniform. The window box is an unknown umounted window. The birthday sentiment is from Crafty Secrets...inked with ColorBox Dragonfly Black and embossed with clear. The green mat is Brazzill and the luscious green velvet ribbon is by Making Memories...I love when I find their ribbons on big spools at a fantastic price.
So my friend, though it is very late, I hope you'll take a sweet break and celebrate your special day all over again!
Thanks for looking and your comments, everyone. And to Debbie, oh, happy FS day!
