Judy set the challenge today, and because I read it on her blog over breakfast, I was able to check out some various holidays in May. My goodness, there were so many that would be fun - Buy a Musical Instrument Day (might yet do that, Stamp Muse sent me a couple of images of Musical Elements), Jumping Frog Day, Children's Day in Japan...
But I went for National Bird Day, it should be pretty obvious.
We have robins that come to the feeder, but this photo was snatched in the Botanic Gardens. I had my wide-angle lens to take photos specifically for a college project for DH, and had to put a zoom on in a hurry when I spotted this one singing its heart out. I printed it, cut it and layered it on some Basic Grey Two Scoops. The background papers are both Basic Grey Mellow. The green was embossed with a Fiskars Texture Plate after stamping a tree branch from Basic Grey on it. Then I stuck on some little flowers. I added leaves, which were made from the trimmings of the green, embossed with Texture ef and sponged with ColorBox Chalk Lime Pastel. For the sky I stamped it with a Stampendous music score stamp in Versamark and brushed lightly with grey chalk. A bit of scavenging unearthed a few clear Dew Drops, and that was it. I really enjoyed making this - thanks so much for the challenge, Judy.
The little pink flowers are recycled from a spray, so I think that sneaks me in for the central theme of going green. And who couldn't think they were outdoors!!

Sabrina this is stunning!!!! I love that you used a photo that you took yourself (and a very good one I might add) as your main image. I too enjoy photography very much and had never thought of using some of my pics as my main image! I love this and those flowers are fantastic, they really give the card some dimension! Very very nicely done!!!!! Tsmfs!
