This is for the MFT Idol's Judges challenge, the theme this week is Inspirational Women and to use pink and brown.
This card looks lousy in pictures but if you could see it IRL it has more impact and you can see the point of the card.
There are three photos of the card and hopefully you can get the idea.
This image shows the card under the vellum layer, the image is stamped in Memento black and I masked in a third woman, I saw her in my mind so she had to be added. I stamped the woman in the suit on copic paper and flipped her over and cut her out of chocolate kiss paper. The blouse on the center woman is also pieced from chocolate kiss paper. The rest of the image is colored in copics.
The layer were punched with fiskar and SU border punches.
After this was put together I attached the vellum sheet with brads. On the vellum I wrote in brown marker the names of the women who inspire me. The first woman is Helen Beninato, she was my mother, 'nough said. then the next woman's name is a user name from MFT Idol chatter thread. If you continue to read the names you'll find that I alternated the names of women who are my friends in real (as opposed to virtual) life. Two of them passed away this year as a result of breast cancer. Two more of them are still surviving and then there are my friends, Eileen, Edna, Maddy and Pam who keep me going, keep me scrapping and stamping and most importantly they make me laugh.
So if you're a regular on the thread you'll probably find your name in there somewhere, if you don't it's because I ran out of space. Oh, there are also a couple of famous women like Alice Paul and Sally Ride and Mother Teresa but I think you women that I talk to every day are my real inspiration. Namaste.

What a beautiful card.
You have certainly created a card that conveys such emotion.
My hope is that this disease is eradicated very soon...we all have been touched by this disease, and I am so very touched by this card. What a tribute!

Christine... you are SO sweet! Not only is the card pretty, but you managed to make it a heartfelt "love letter" too. I am all over that! I am such a sap and this tugged at my heart strings. HUGS to you and I am so sorry for your loss.
