This is one of those cards I feel the need to place several disclaimers on LOL. First - I'm trying out new photoediting software and I'm not crazy about how this photo turned out.
Second - In my 4y as a Demo, this is the first flower set I have every intentionally purchased! All other flowers were freebies. I'm just so not a flower person.
Third - red is not my favorite color. But I chose this for the challenge b/c I have this stack of long red envelopes that need to be used up!
I was also having issues with my aquapainter - it was leaking too much water while I tried to color. The rose was stamped with red craft, then colored using an aquapainter and red marker.
I chose not to add any embellies - none felt right. I just rounded the corners on the red panel to add a little softness.
So there's all my excuses ;) I'm fine with the end results - just really out of the box for me on nearly all levels!

Kandi this is awesome - you've nailed the challenge!!!!! And the fact that it takes you out of your comfort zone is pretty cool too as it's always good to try new things, especially as a demo. That's how we can all get excited and that usually gets our customers excited too!!!!
I love this set and I love how you used it. Red's not my favourite colour either, but you'd be surprised how often I use it - LOL!!!!

Well, I'm a flower girl and I think this card is gorgeous. I love all the shading you've done on the rose. Red is such a strong color and you made is a beautifully strong color on your card. The lack of embelishments does not take away from the beauty of the simplicity expressed here.
Thanks for sharing.
