I made this for last week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, to use acetate in some way.
I love acetate, so much you can do with it. I don't like trying to take a photo of an acetate card, though, so I opted for embossing it.
My under base is some faux batik that I made about a month ago using Inspired by Nature. The details are on this card here - WT211 Batik Nature by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers.
For the acetate layer, I embossed some of the clear card-stock from Flourishes with Leafy Branch. Then I painted the leaves from the back with some Dusty Green acrylic paint. I trimmed it down and attached it to the base with some perfect snaps I managed to unearth. I added some rose-hips (at least, I think that's what they are!) from the Fantasy Floral garden. They were stamped with Rangers Archival Black and coloured with H2Os. After I cut them out I painted the stems over with acrylic so that they'd blend in when I stuck them on. The bird was stamped with black ink and embossed twice with Versamark and UTEE.
I really like this card - just as well since I upset my water jar just as I was reaching out to screw the lid on.
