This week's IC challenge was to pick an item from the Skeem store....they have some beautiful candles, lanterns, matchbooks, etc.! I chose this pillar because of the gorgeous colors. I used these colors to decorate a wooden plaque to take to the cemetary with some flowers.
I used Glacier and Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist to give the wood a beautiful shimmer without covering the wood grain. This image and verse are from Children of God, a new release this month from Our Daily Bread Designs. The background dp is from the [url=http://ourdailybreaddesigns.com/Memorybox.html]Butterfield collection by Memory Box. After cutting the paper to fit, I sponged the edges with Almost Amethyst, colored the Jesus/baby image, and adhered to the wood. I sprayed a clear finish to help weather proof it and my DH drilled holes in the bottom for dowels. Please check out my blog to see the final destination for this memorial project. Thanks so much for looking! Have a blessed day!

Angella, this is so touching. I read your blog through tears. I cannot imagine the pain you've been thorough but w/ our Lord on your side you have weathered the storm. You have a beautiful memorial to your son. You will see him again and know that he watches over you too. God Bless you and your DH.
This is beautiful. I love the look of the rays behind Jesus. What an awesome effect. Very nice IC piece.
