Wow - I haven't scrapped in ages - but I've promised myself to get back to it, so on my day off yesterday, I did up this page. I took my daughter to a professional photographer on her first birthday way back in 1992 - because I am SO bad at taking photos (always cutting heads off - even with digital LOL).
Anway, kept this fairly simple using K&Company dp and matching frame. I kept the focus in the bottom corner of the page, layering the photo over two textured squares of different purple paper. Added a simple side frame that I ran through a Cuttlebug border and then added tiny pearls. SU Scalloped circles were run through a different CB folder and then layered behind the upper left. Used SU brad to hold the velvet ribbon and frame in place. Sentiment is computer generated onto vellum.

Awww is that your 'baby' girl in your avatar. She is gorgeous just like you. I love this. Doesn't time go so fast. I remember when my girls were this age. My youngest daughter was born in 1991. Now she is graduating. Super job.

A beautiful page and a lovely layout. I have trouble designing layouts ,etc.,etc., your colors and embellishment are perfect.The comments answered my queries about your avatar, as it is such a warm and loving picture. Glad to see that you are into still scrapbooking pictures from the past, though not nearly as past as mine. I only started scrapbooking 11 yrs. ago and my 1st babe was born in 1961, but I keep on trucking,lol.
