Here is a birthday card that I made for my cousin Jacob, who just turned 14. I have such a hard time coming up with something for teenage boys!
I used the Ink, Spray & Smash technique to create the really cool, tie-die looking background for this card! Markie's Mom made a fabulous tutorial for the technique and you can find it here: Ink, Spray & Smash Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. I used pacific point, baja breeze, and kiwi kiss reinkers for the Ink, Spray & Smash.
I finally got my rear-in-gear and used the cool new Circle Scissors Plus offered by Stampin' Up! I have to say, of all the circle cutters I have tried, this is by far the best! I used the circle scissors to cut out the various circles and the ring that are on the card front. oO some of the kiwi circles I stamped the large spot from Enjoy every moment in stamped-off pacific point. On the white circle, I stamped the spot in stamped-off kiwi kiss and I then stamped the Birthday Wish in pacific point. All of the layers are attached with SNAIL.
I think this worked-out great for a guy card AND it could go in the mail with a regular stamp!
Thanks for looking!
