I was asked by a co-worker if I could make her 48 grad invites. We both looked through the galleries and she liked the criss cross idea.
I started with only orange as the base. I made the white triangle then used the CB Swiss dot folder. I also made another triangle with the DCWV textured green cs and also used the CB Swiss dot folder. I used tacky tape for each side for closure. I then cut a strip of orange cs and used a border punch. I layered with the same green cs and added a piece of white Dollar Tree ribbed ribbon. I used a large circle punch on orange cs and used a medium circle punch on GP white cs after I stamped the phrase with black stazon. I also used a white galaxy pen and made dots around the orange circle. The circle is raised with a 3D square. My co-worker found the hardware brads with the year 2009 at Hobby Lobby and it worked perfect for what I wanted.
For the insert, we typed the words on Excel and printed out on GP white cs. I layered with DCWV green textured cs and used a MM corner round punch. I stamped the eagle with Going Gray in the center. The school mascot is eagles and it worked out well for this project. I made 1/2 with the orange base and the other 1/2 with the green base. I never thought I would use so much tacky tape, I think I went through 5 rolls of the 1/4" kind.
