This card is for this weeks Twisted Sisters Challenge where we were to use our favourite technique and also for the Flourishes Challenge where we were to use our favourite Flourishes Stamp Set.......also for the Fourishes 'Swing into Spring' Challenge, which requires paper piecing.
Firstly, this is full of favourites...the first being chalking....which will come as no surprise I am sure!! The frame of the chair is chalked along with the sentiment, the rest is paper pieced with some Flourishes paper, which is part of my 'winnings' from one of their challenges in February...then I went on to win their 3 new releases in March....which brings me to my next favourite - this stamp set from Flourishes....this is the first of the ones I won, that I have inked up and it was a favourite before it even arrived....
I used another favourite technique as a background - that is inking over embossing, I then added fringing down the side and tried to keep it in the vintage feel....the colours are deep and rich, which I feel adds to the card. I have made this for the ladies at Flourishes as a Thank You for their generosity...they are such lovely ladies...this card will be winging its way to them tomorrow!
The final touch was the brads....who doesn't love brads, they just seem to finish a card off so nicely....so there you have it - I can almost hear Julie Andrews singing 'My Favourite Things" in the background!
Thank you for looking and for your encouraging comments!

I really, really like the inking over embossing, that is awesome. This card is so pretty. Love the paper piecing, great cushions. Pat and I would be taking turns sitting in this terrific chair. TFS
