Here's my entry for this week's MFT Idol competition. The competition is getting FIERCE, so this week I tried to pull out all the stops!
Since the main focal stamp in the set is two women toasting each other, I decided to make a wine-related project. My hubby and I have been starting to get in to really good red wine, and one thing I saw online recently was a blind wine-tasting kit. Basically it's a wine-tasting where the bottles are covered up, so as not to influence your decisions about their quality while you're tasting them. I thought this would be a fantastic project and something I was definitely capable of creating on my own! So here's what I came up with!
Now, I just need to invite a bunch of people over and get this tasting on its way! ;)
It might amaze you that this entire project only cost me $2. The only thing I purchased for the set was the wine charm rings (for $1) and the box to hold them (for $1). The rest of the supplies were all from my existing stash (which probably means I have too much stuff! LOL). The leather came from furniture swatches that a friend gifted to me about a year ago. I was excited to finally put them to use!
I hope you enjoyed this little project and that it inspires you to see things you might already have around your house in a new light. If you like what you see, please vote for me tonight! Voting runs for 24 hours from tonight (Tuesday) at 10 pm EST through tomorrow at 10 pm EST.
Please make sure to click on all the different gallery pictures for close-ups of the whole set (or visit my blog for even more details and pictures).
