This card is for the Flourishes Challenge which requires us to use embossing.....I love embossing, it can make such a difference to a card...I love the texture it gives and the dimension it can add.
I used the Limited Supply Challenge as the colours are black and white and we are allowed silver as it is a shade of grey, which is a shade of black!!! I don't often use just B&W, I am always tempted to add a little bit of sponging or chalking....but I have been good and stayed true to the challenges.
The background is embossed with the Textured Textiles folder, then a veluum layer which had been stamped already. This gorgeous image was part of a RAK from Cindy (aka Stampergrl) and I love it, especially on vellum. I added some silver 'lattice/mesh' on one corner, which was also from Cindy and black brads on the other 3 corners! I then added a silver embellishment with black ribbon, inked the edges and that was the card finished.
I have to say this was a very easy card to make, thanks to Cindy as I didn't have to decided which stamp to use. I really love vellum with dry embossing as you can still faintly see the pattern.
Thanks for looking, I always enjoy your comments!!

this one is so beautiful, Linda! I love the mesh on the bottom, a variation of your beloved photo corners, eh?! And the monochromatic colorway gives just the right emphasis to your image! I have this stamp, but have never used it, you give me inspiration this morning!
