I received my preview SU order this week, so I thought I'd pull out this new set for this week's sketch. I decided to stamp the scene on Sahara Sand instead of traditional Whisper White; I really liek the way this turned out.
My card base is Riding Hood Red. The designer paper strips are layered on Sahara Sand cs. I used Jet Black StazOn and my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to create the cute garden scene and colored everything with SU markers. The windmill's flaps (I'm sure there's a technical term for those things) were colored with a White Gel Pen. I dirtied it up with a Sahara Sand marker and Spritzer. It's layered on Riding Hood Red cs and adhered to the card with Dimensionals. I finally added the sentiment and snippit of ribbon for my tab for Sharon's weekly challenge. Blogs at Splitcoaststampers All edges were distressed, too.

The colors really stand out on the Sahara Sand!! I love it. I really like the distressing too - it looks great with all the different pieces from the sketch challenge.
