Gorgeous colors this week Emily, and thanks Jenn for the jump start to creativity. I just had to use my black-eyed Susan's! One of my co-workers has returned to duty after a very long medical time off. She's slowly working her way back with limited hours...her favorite color is red...the more I got into designing this card, the more it became 'hers'.
The bouquet of susan's is from Stamp Francisco. I used TH di walnut stain to ink them on SU Summer Sun. I colored with Copics to add hues and embossed the black seed heads with clear ep. Couldn't resist wrapping them with floral ribbon. My gorgeous DP is from BG Scarlet's Letter. I added the sentiment (Rubber Soul) stamped onto a Label2 PTI kraft paper which was dry embossed with the Cuttlebug Branchy Leaf folder as was the bottom edge of the card base.
To have a normal day, to wake up with a fresh beginning, may I never forget, indeed, what a treasure they are!
I love the pop of summer sun, it's such a happy color, what do you think of my card? Thanks for visiting and commenting...always!

I love your card - and I love how you described it "becoming" a card for your coworker. I have that happen often, a card just makes up its own mind where it's headed
