I just loved Jenn's weekend sketch. I've been busy and missed out the last two weeks, so with a day off today I made up for that by making two from this sketch. A Christmas one, because I'm trying to get on top of my quota of Christmas cards for this month before we go away for a few days. And then a Spring one because it's such glorious spring weather here these days. The scent from a bed of daffodils in work when they've been warming in the sunshine is just divine.
This is my spring card.
5 1/2" square base, covered with green and yellow card. The yellow is stamped tone-on-tone with a flower (centres covered in Stickles), and the base is the leaf spray from Pretty Amazing. I added narrow turquoise ribbon, though it's almost totally lost under all the Primas. The next layer is Labels 1, embossed with Leafy Spray and sponged in Lime Pastel. Then I used an ATC base to stamp the leaves and flowers from Pocket Silhouettes in the Lime Pastel, with blue for the flowers. Trimmed it down slightly, sponged the edges with green, tied a ribbon around, layered up on a scrap of turquoise and added Stickles and a little wooden snail. Then it was just lots of Primas, with brads and gem brads.
