Inspired by Figaro's pyramid cards, I made this one.
Directions: www.stampowl.blogspot.com. Go to her archives under Feb 17, 2008
Cut two 4” squares of the same color cardstock and a 4” square of another color cardstock.
Examples:
Look at SCSÂ’s Figaro. She has tons of examples with some fabulous punched figures. Her gallery is here: figaro's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
The flowers came from SCS, too and for the life of me I canÂ’t find my reference. I will add that in when I find it. Someone suggested adding slivers of yellow paper for the stamen.
If you want to layer paper triangles on your pyramids cut squares ¼” smaller than your pyramid squares, e.g. 3 ¾”, 3 ½”, 3 ¼”. Cut the squares in half on the diagonal.
To get some ideas how to color the butterflies, check out Michelle ZindorfÂ’s cards on SCS (Zindorf). The blog for her butterfly and flowers card posted on 3/3/09 is here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers
Now for the specifics on my card:
Stamps: Sincere Salutations, GodÂ’s Beauty (hostess set)
Paper: barely banana, summer sun, whisper white, basic black, certainly celery (stems), almost amethyst dp (retired)
Ink: Basic Black, Summer Sun Markers: summer sun, only orange, more mustard; barely banana, sage shadow, more mustard, dark green
Punches: Scallop Square, Wide Oval
Think: Easter, Birthdays, MotherÂ’s day, any spring holiday. Someone suggested name place markers for a table.
PS If you get addicted to making these cards I came up with a way to mass produce the cuts and folds (or at least make it significantly less tedious) and I will share it with you
