I was sorely tempted to link my second sketch card from Wed (SC219 Romans 12:12 by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers) for the Flourishes March challenge, using a sentiment or word as the focal point of the card. But since I do have Flourishes stamps, I thought I'd make a card using them.
When I saw Laura's card here - Peacock Quill pen by scrapnextras at Splitcoaststampers - a few weeks back, it instantly reminded me of some lovely writing paper I had from Liberty of London, which had this quote on it.
Simple card - a silver base, then some Joanna Sheen marbled paper. Then white card, printed on the PC with the feather stamped on and coloured with H2Os. This panel was edged with silver. I added blue grosgrain ribbon wrapped round the corners, and two little silver seals. I don't have any sealing wax, so I used the faux metal technique, but I did use a real old seal from a ring I got given when I was about ten or eleven. After I made the first one, I put it on my finger so it wouldn't get lost on the table. Then when I lost my first *seal* altogether I had an awful time getting it off again.
Then it was just a little silver border peel-off and 3 pearls to finish it off.

Your faux metal is terrific.using your treasured ring for the center is a great way to personalize it. Looks terrific. I love the soft blues on your card. Great challenge card. TFS
