This card is for my niece's baptism on Sunday.
This card took me FOREVER, but I think it was well worth the time and thought. It's so much better IRL, but my camera is not very good.
I took the idea for the dress from this baptism dress card: Baptism dress card by detalleshandmade at Splitcoaststampers. I figured out how to make it with shapes: the bust is an altered 1 1/4" square, the skirt is a 3" cricut altered oval (same with the vellum underlay), and the sleeves are freehand cut. It's hard to see, but there is an underlay of vellum under the skirt, and the sleeves are vellum. IRL, it adds a really soft, elegant touch.
I popped the dress up on some dimensionals, and added faux stitching around the dress, and some stickles to the holes in the bottom and the points on the sleeves. I used decorative scissors for the underlay and the sides of the gray paper.
It's hard to see, but there are also stickle dots along the sides of the gray paper.
see the second photo for a shot of the inside poem. tfl

This is absoutely Beautiful! I know from my own experience, that cards never look as good as they do in real life. However, I can see the vellum and I know this card is wonderful. Believe me, It was worth all the time and effort you put into it.
