I made this quick ATC for Cindy's teapot challenge this week - see her blog here: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2009/...uesday-37.html.
I haven't done justice to that sweet teapot - but I'm wiped out after a wedding yesterday. Mind you, those are some strange carrot leaves on the teapot, they should be much more ferny looking. After all, in 17th century England (and France too, I think) ladies often wore the leaves in their hair for ornament. Not the ones on the pot, they wouldn't!!
Anyway, I have never been able to grow carrots successfully, so I left them off my ATC, and just stuck with the colour scheme.
The base ATC was stamped with flowers and leaves in orange and green, and embossed with clear EP. Then I sponged the background with French Blue chalk ink. The two ovals were also sponged, and I added little punched circles in orange, purple and green into the scallops before layering on the plain oval. The rabbit is a stamp from Anita's, stamped in black, embossed and cut out. I added photo corners embossed with Swiss Dots and with the dots sponged with ink in purple, green and orange.
Not too happy with it, but it will do - and I have a little pack of bandages in my handbag so Cindy well let me in on that account anyway.

What a funny story! You made such a beautiful card. Must be because you're tired. Now look at that adorable little bunny and the little flowers. Sit down a spell, have some good tea and you'll be happier about this cute and colorful card. Promise. TFS

Whoo Hoo! You have bandaids? Snort! I love your little carrot flowers! They are just the perfect carrotless touch....I am not sure if I can grow carrots or not, have never tried but if you can't, then I probably cant either. And I know what you mean about the goofy leaves....whats a teapot to do???
Love how you got the different colored polka dots on the card to match the teapot. Its very creative and fun. Did you hear Marilynn brought carrot cake? Now that's a carrot I can relate too!
Thanks for coming Sabrina...and for the link! You card rocks!

Those flowers are just the right touch of orange. Your bunny is very cute and I love how you framed it. Glad you have your band-aids. There is so much to this - it's great!
