This week, Starving Artistamps is hosting the sketch challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You. Here's what I came up with for the challenge.
The idea for the main element of the card came to me the minute I first saw the DoodleFactory Easter set. I knew that the standard DoodleFactory lilies colored, cut out, and pasted on would make a really cool cross.
I started with two thin strips of brown cardstock and just pasted on the flowers to cover it. I also used the leaves from the tulips that come with the set, to extend the "arms" of the cross. When I was finished with the card, it looked really plain. So I actually ended up carefully tearing it apart and using a Cuttlebug folder on the green layer, then I scuffed it with some sandpaper to make it pop. I think it really ties it all together.
The inside reads "He is risen" and has more lilies.

Amazing card! Lots of detail. You do put so much of yourself into your creations. Thanks for listing the supplies. It was interesting! Like the green background. Love the Easter theme and knowing it says He is Risen on the inside. TFS
