Umm - I wasn't meant to be making another card for today's IC. But actually, this blanket - http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c...9_2040_2125444 - was the first piece I picked to be inspired by, only then I got side-tracked by the deer.
Part of the reason I'd picked this one was because a friend sent me a pack of Making Memories papers and the little Imaginisce stamp this week, and I wanted to use them.
And the wedding card I need to make, I am putting it off. I want to do a Mizuhiki knot and they are so fiddly. And, I can always say that it was more important to have been practicing the music for the wedding (which I have been doing) then getting a card made in time.
I got some coasters in work about a year and a half ago - and this is the first time I've used one. Yikes. But I knew exactly where they were.
Covered it in some old Sassafrass paper, sponged the edges. Added a scalloped Nestabilities frame and Symbology flourish for the little bird to perch on. He's stamped out of orange card in two colours, with Glossy Accents on his beak and eye. Two large flower eyelets and some green organza ribbon to finish. I know one of the big selling points of the CAD was that it could punch through chipboard - first time I've tried it.

Sabrina, I love your little coaster birdie. The colors on the little bird really stand out. I love the little flower eyelets too. I had some like those but the paint on them cracked each time I tried to set them.

Oh, I love this, what a cheery bird and he looks great perched on the flourish! I'm regretting passing on this stamp when I saw it at my LSS now I've seen your fab project - hope it's there the next time I go!
