My son wanted a video game party, so I made Nintendo DS invitations in a variety of colors.
You can see the front and inside of the invitations. Also, I made 2 templates (shown) from a piece of cereal box for the embossed rectangles (1/2" x 1 mm each) found on the front of the DS and one to make the dots for the speaker (dots are made with 1/16" hole punch and are 5mm apart). The embossed rectangles were made by placing the card front side down on a mousepad, then placing template over card stock and using a stylus (small side) to trace very firmly (press hard) around the inside of each rectangle.
The screens were created on a word processor, printed, cut, and glued on. Screen size is 2.75" x 2.125". I used a thick black border, almost black background, yellow font color, and font is DJ Drop.
The (+) button is made from a 7/8" black square. The round buttons are made using 1/4" and 1/8" circle punches.
Card stock was cut 5" x 5 3/8" and scored at 2 11/16".
Corner rounder was used on corners of card.
My son was very pleased with the results!!
