Great job! My mom and I were intrigued by a demonstration of this in a cute little shop in Seattle. We purchased what we needed and ended up making a huge mess. It was fun though. This is a gorgeous card! TFS!

Ever since I got "hooked" on Stampin' Up, I've loved the embossing techniques. I kept seeing the raised embossing with the paste in different places but finally got a chance to see it done at a Scrapbooking/Stamping convention in Allentown PA. How neat! I ended up taking a class from a local stamping store in Strasburg PA and absolutely love it! It is a challenge on some of the brass stencils with larger openings but the end results is certainly worth it! It would be neat if SU! sold the paste. I'm sure they would be able to market a lot more stencils as a result!
How did you color in your leaves? Before or after you embossed?

i used classic inks and used a stippling technique to the paper and put the clear paste over it. i haven't tried to color on top of the paste yet. when coloring i didn't have to get full coverage of the ink because when you put the paste over the colors bleed together and fills in the rest. these are so much fun to do. it is hard to appreciate from pictures how raised and glossy these look.

I know from experience first hand how difficult these cards can be. The type of paper has to be perfect, the paints you choose can't be too wet, and they take forever to make one card! Stencils are a pain in the hiney to clean and the paste takes forever to dry before you can even start coloring it (unless you color first and clear paste over), but the after effects are the most stunning. You don't see many of the stencil paste embossed cards around. They are really beautiful. Denier - you are doing an awesome job. I love the different color touches you added.
