My submission for Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #20- Italy. You can find more information at www.twilighttuesday.com
Our challenge this week was to be inspired by Italy, more specifically Volterra. I actually had completed a card on Tuesday, but it turned out a hot mess. Today I pulled my original “hot mess” from the trash and tried to salvage what I could; the water coloring is pretty poor, mostly because what I thought was water color paper is not. Since I started participating in the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenges I have found myself looking at stamps in a whole new way, basically could they be used in a TTIC? When I saw this Rubber Romance stamp one of my first thoughts, other than it is a beautiful stamp and I HAD to have it, was of the alley scene in New Moon. The setting is so serene, but there could be something lurking just beyond what the eye can see; I paired it with MME paper that reminds me of frescos and used my Cuttlebug ornamental die (inspired by patsmethers) added a few flowers and viola, this time it worked out just the way I pictured.
Thanks for looking!
