Here is my card for the last February Verve with a Twist sketch. The twist was to use acetate. I have never used acetate before (bowing my head in shame) though I have always admired the acetate cards I've seen in the gallery. So, I decided to jump in with both feet and not just have an acetate panel, but an actual acetate card.
I now have one acetate card under my belt along with a few important "notes to self" LOL! Note to self #1: Make sure you know where your glue dots are - enough said! Note to Self #2: Don't use brads on the clear acetate as the backs show when opened - duh! I had to trim the backs with some wire clippers I thankfully had and managed to find quickly so they wouldn't show when splayed open (can you tell I did this late at night LOL).
Once it was all said and done, I quite liked this card - especially the green and brown together. I cased the layered sentiment layout from a card by Stephanie Hargis.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day

Great card - and congrats on your first acetate card. Your cards always seem to pop out at me when I'm cruising through the gallery and this one was no exception. Love the way you did the bow and ribbon...

I really like all the layers. You did good girlie. Love that you challenged yourself. I also love the way you did the sentiment. The layers really make it pop. Great colors. TFS

Mint and chocolate chip sound like the most delicious of color combos to me. Love your card.
