This is for Feb VSN "What I Love.." Today I have chickens on the brain - I have 30+ chickens and I love watching them peck around. They have surprising personalities! Last night I took a hatching chick out from under a broody hen because he was having some trouble getting out and the kids and I watched him all evening work at getting out of his shell. He's perfectly healthy and the kids really enjoyed watching it. So the memory has been on my mind.
I used the dry brush wheel on Creamy caramel for faux woodgrain and hand-drew the lines with a ruler. The patterned paper is from the Wanted dp pack. The heart was inexpertly cut using the Cricut - the paper moved while it was being cut. The rooster is colored with SU markers. TFL!

Very cute! I thought you loved your rooster...stamp. But you must have a rooster around if you've got hatchlings, huh? You did a great job on the faux woodgrain.
