Vampire theme Inchie for Dena's swap.
This took me by complete surprise! While in the process of creating this inchie, I experienced an emotional connection thus having a very unexpected walk down memory lane that I would like to share if I may.
One of my favorite childhood memories was coming home from school, getting a snack, and sitting down in front of the T.V. to do my homework. Yes, I did my homework while watching my favorite show - The Munsters. I'm guessing I was around age 10 or 11. Missing my Mom and Dad and getting a little teary eyed here as I remember my Mom asking me:
*How on earth can you concentrate to do your homework while watching television?* I was able to multi-task just fine. This was back in the seventies if you are not old enough to remember The Munsters. This is back in the day when there was no such thing as cable T.V. - we had just a handful of channels from which to choose. No color - just black and white and...NO REMOTE either! (gasp!) Those were the good old days when television was simple and sweet. I thought Herman Munster was the coolest Dude! - and this is back when the term: *Dude* was used everyday! My Dad used to make fun of me every time I said Dude. Anyway - Herman and Grandpa were usually cooking up some ridiculous scheme down in the *Lab.* Inevitability, their idea never seemed to work out as planned and they ended up getting chewed out by Lily. Herman was just a kid at heart. Grandpa always made me laugh with his sarcastic remarks. I haven't seen this show in years. I will always remember thinking that The Munsters were the funniest family on T.V. - way back when. Heck, my friend's Mom wouldn't even let her watch the show because it *was bad.* Regardless of whether it was good or bad, I loved it! I might even look it up and see if I can catch an episode or two just for the memories. Now that I'm older, I realize the show is a bit Corny and maybe not as Cool as it was when I was a kid, but that's okay. Thanks for listening to me while I reminisce. I sure hope you loved The Munsters as much as I did! If you watched this show, I would love it if you would take a moment to leave a brief comment on your favorite memory. Isn't it funny how one little image can trigger so many happy memories?
A penny for your thoughts!

Wow. I didn't even think to use Grandpa Munster! I am glad that YOU did! I also watched the show, along with Dark Shadows. I ran home from school every day, plunked myself down and did what you did! Only difference? Mom watched with me. She and I both love anything vamp to this day.
Dude.......totally radical!
