For this week's color combo (Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, and More Mustard), I immediately thought of Autumn.
Even though it is almost Spring, I am always looking forward to Autumn, as it is my favourite time of year. So this is my "Ode to Autumn" card. I tried very hard to NOT use a neutral...I thought that adding white or vanilla to this card would have made it too "bright" and would have taken away from the "Autumn" feel of it.
I was planning on using mustard and rose red buttons for an accent at the bottom of the card, but then I remembered that I bought some silk leaves on clearance after Thanksgiving last year...and I actually remembered where I had put them! I sorted through the package until I came across this leaf, which kind of resembles rose red.
I attached the leaf with a few glue dots and an old olive brad. I also curled some thin strips of kiwi kiss "vines" to add some more dimension - I was kind of thinking about pumpkins when I was doing this, but I thought it looked pretty cute coming from a leaf instead...what do you think?
Hope you like it, and thanks for looking!
