This is for today's Ways to Use It challenge to use fabric on a card. Well, "challenge" was the operative word today! The fabric is an old quilt piece which I sewed on the red CS, and the button is from my Mom's old Singer sewing machine drawer. While making it, I was thinking about my Mom and how she saved everything, including buttons (she lived through the Depression) and wondered about the woman who made the quilt....?

Isn't that the beauty of finding and using old quilts...you have a window into the past. When quilts were made for warmth and not necessarily for eye candy. Love the story...
Adore the card.............it's great.
