The idea for this project came to me after reading the message by Shelli Gardner in the 2009 Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog, how the Polka Dot Punches set reminded her of the patterns that were punched into the metal on old pie cupboards ! The photo doesn't show the details very well: I distressed the "wood" by dinging and scratching it with the rounded tips of my scissors; I cut strips of cardstock and created faux wood by lightly swiping ink pads across it then "mitered" the corners to create the door; I lightly distressed the "tin" with sandpaper. This is great! Shelli saying in the SAB brochure that she loved this set because it reminded her of a pie safe was so true, that's exactly what it looks like. I bet she would love your card!

that's so really neat. I honestly thought it was for real.. Because I can't see the scale, I thought this was a real wooden cabinet door and you used the stamps as a template.
