This is a card I made for my Mom's Birthday! I didn't want to post it until she received it, because she scopes out the gallery here on SCS.
I inked up the flower with thatched straw and tea leaves versamagic ink, then used the rock n roll technique (I think this is what it is called) and added pumpkin spice and hint of pesto on the edges of the stamp to add some depth. I was pleased with the way it stamped. I matted it on yellow and added brads in each corner. The background stamp is pretty pattern from Cornish Heritage Farms. This is stamped in thatched straw. I also matted this on yellow. I adhered the lime green strip and cut out a yellow circle. I pierced it using a canvas needlepoint circle as a guide, as suggested on Gina K's website. This worked fabulous!! I stamped the happy birthday (stamp by hero arts) in tea leaves and cut it out with the square nestabilities. I inked up the edges as well with the tea leaves to have it stand out without matting it. I used pop dots to adhere the flower and sentiment. TFL!!
