Hmmm - I think it's a day for not being quite happy with my cards. I got out my origami books and had a go at a fan and chrysanthemum. They just weren't coming together...And then, since I had my tray of other (non Hero Arts, non SU, non Penny Black) stamps out, I used this cafe stamp by Stampendous.
I stamped it onto watercolour paper and coloured it with H2Os. I'd already decided to use this Making Memories paper which I love, even though it's not my colours at all. It's layered up onto some Bazzill and some of the MM paper. I pleated some of the striped paper, and made a scalloped edge using the Basic Grey Notch & Die tool. The top of it is stuck directly onto the card - the sides and centre at the bottom are stuck down with the thickest foam tape I have, so that the awning does sit up a bit from the card. I decorated it with some bling .
For the sentiment I used two scallops that were trimmed off the awning, and added an eyelet in the centre of each before sticking the edges down to the card base. I added eyelets to the HH and threaded some pink ribbon through and tied it to attach. The sentiment was from Lots of Thoughts.
Like I said, it's a day for not being very happy with my cards. DH is like a kid let out of school because his night class was cancelled, whereas I have lost my day off with no cooking and the evening to myself.

I think it's a great little card!! Reminds me of the cafe we lunched at at the Parisian in Las Vegas! Love the pleated awning!
