This is a memory quilt I made for my mom on her 80th birthday. This is called a Log Cabin. This was also a little difficult with the odd sizes of the pictures. I also found it hard to locate a Kinkos to copy the original photos onto Fabric photo transfers. The photos in there are of my dad, and us kids...which happens to be 5 girls with their kids. This was really fun to make. I did the colors in brown as that was shes likes. Thanks for looking.
Note: Photo transfers...
To get the pictures onto the fabric, you have to get photo transfer/iron paper for fabrics (found at Walmart or HL)...scan your photos through the computer or take them to Kinkos (not all of them do this) and take your paper and run it through their machine. Don't ever use Picture This paste, it doesnt work and its messy. Once the photos are onto the fabric which will be reversed, then you will measured and trim the blocks as needed. It's really not hard to do, but it is time consuming.
