I am SO ahead of myself. These are my cards for February for the Christmas Card challenge. The accomplished mission was to use this sheet of cute glitter card. I just fell in love with it when I saw it, but it's so detailed that it's been hard to use. As in, it's been in my paper file for 3 if not 4 years now. I tried 3 different ideas out, this is the one that worked best. By the time I had got to this stage in the evolution of the card, DH had stopped trying to get me NOT to use the little Merry & Bright panel, as he realised I had my mind set on using that as well as the glitter card.
The strips of glitter card are mounted onto narrow mats of silver card, and then onto a dark navy base. I added silver stitching lines all around each panel - one silver gel pen about to hit the bin. For the label, I cut and embossed them first, then stamped the deer using a Marvy Marker, masked him and then stamped the tree with a marker. Then I used a wet brush to draw the colour into the images, added a little tiny gem-stone for the deer's nose, sponged the edges with brown and added more silver stitching. The panel is up on foam; then I just added some silver Dew Drops and that was me done.
