My sister is getting married at The Bronx Zoo in October and I am making the invitations for her. She likes this stamp set and wants something VERY simple. I think this needs something. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

At the very least you could distress the edges and sponge them w/ either the burgandy ink or cr. caramel w/ I think would be nice. I would prob cut them down a bit too if you're only using one stamp image b/c there's too much negative space. HTH!
I really like the idea of getting married at the zoo - that would be so cool!

I like the above comment about sponging the edges. Could you make the invitation "skinnier"? Cut down the left side? I think by cutting it down it would stay tall and thin like the giraffe... Absolutely adorable theme too!

Yes, I agree with the others. There is too much white space. It will be a very striking invitation and I love the simplicity of it. Sponging or DTP on the edges would be good. Have you thought about maybe printing the invite on vellum and using it like an overlay on your color and attaching with brads? Just a thought and you would need three layers then to hide the back of the brads. Just tossing an idea out there. I really love this though because of the simplicity and cutting out some of the white on the left would balance it out. How neat to be married at the zoo. I wanted to go to the St. Louis zoo for our honeymoon and everyone thought I was nuts.

if you look in the gallery there are a lot of the taller cards (like 8 1/2" tall) I think making it a long card would be out of the box a bit-love the set for the zoo!
(if they were going for a more whimsical look I would say adda bowtie to the giraffe-but as it is now it looks more elegant)

What a darling theme for a wedding........so unique and FUN for all ages of guests!!!!! I LOVE the invitation and also think you are giving your sister a most memorable gift to make her wedding invitations! I, too, agree that making the invitation thinner and taller just adds to the suggestion of height by the giraffe. However, if you do not want to do that, you might consider dry embossing something appropriate down the left side of the invitation.....something narrow......just a thought. I used a similar on my daughter's invitations that said "On This Day"......it was subtle but added a touch of dimension.

Depending on the number you're making, you might want to check postal regulations and costs before changing the size to anything non-standard. You'll have the extra cost of unusual sized envelopes and maybe extra postage. The bride may not have budgeted a lot for extras.
