Theme: Paper Menagerie OQC
Recieved the Riley image from Wish Rak from Mrsjillove!
In picking a theme for this challenge I wanted something that would be appreciated by men but could still be appropriate for women. Animals seemed to be a perfect combination of cute and appropriate for women but still appeal to men. Plus studies show that animals help people heal. Now I know they mean REAL animals but I thought maybe a few paper animals could add to the healing process for our wounded warriors. Who can't help but smile at all the cute animal stamps available?!?!?!?
So the first part of this challenge is to make and a Get Well card using an animal image to be sent to one of our military heroes recovering in a combat hospital.
The second part of the challenge is to use something that adds texture to your card, other than the normal buttons, brads and ribbon (which you may use as well/in addition to the other textural element). This is an OQC challenege so you may not use glitter, fibers, feathers, or other materials that may not be acceptable in a hospital situation. Here are some alternatives: dry embossing, crimped paper, mulberry paper, vellum, faux suede/animal skin paper, faux leather paper, faux leather technicque, embossing paste, faux silk technique, faux metal technique.
