I think we all love Wednesday here on SCS! Thanks Roxie, for the last SC of 2008. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the NEW YEAR. Speaking of NEW YEAR, I had to create another card for winging in the New Year. Please have a look and let me know how I did!
Once again, I resorted to my trusty Memories of a Lifetime, Christmas clipart. There is a nice section there for the New Year also. I printed this jester on GP white cs and backed him with Treasures linen black cs. The harlequin pattern is an image from Stampers Anonymous inked with TH di spiced marmalade onto Basic Grey delish paper. I love that combination of orange and turquoise. I added just a bit of aqua twill from Martha. The 2009 panel is a paper from MME signature line. I inked the numbers with VersaColor LAVA black and embossed with clear. The font is called Playful Heart from Ma Vinci's Reliquary. The pocketwatch with wings is an Invoke Arts image which was inked with the spiced marmalade and embossed with clear and then 3 coats of UTEE to get the glass effect. I popped on foam. The polka dot paper is a MME stack from Costco in 2007.
I do sincerely wish each of you a PROSPEROUS New Year. Thanks for ALL your comments on my work, it has truly been a gift to me.
Most of the time you can find more musings over on my blog. Yesterday I talked about the Christmas gift that was dearest to me this year...please take a look if you missed it!

UH OH!! That Jester that is announcing that is it New Years looks just a wee bit frightening Susan!! Are you sure he is REALLY wishing us a HAPPY NEW YEAR... I'm skeered!!! ;) Love the clock with wings on it.. did you really have to remind an old lady like me just how fast time is flying by - that time is so temporal -to store up my treasures in heaven.. I mean Susan - we usually want to celebrate New Years..It's a wonderful card, but you've skeered me big time! ;)

I'm chuckling at the comments. I too was kind of creeped out by the jester. Father time does march on - faster now than ever b/f in my life. How cleaver to use the windged clock. I love your card. You do some of the most fantastic work Susan. HAPPY NEW YEAR

You made a great card Susan. I too remember Betsy McCall, and loved getting her in the magazine each month. I love your story and that you found her for your Christmas. Awesome.
