I tore a piece of white cardstock for a mask to create the hilly horizon along the Tree Line image (Just for Fun rubber stamps), which was stamped with Handsome Hunter ink onto the upper portion of a Top Note layer of white cardstock. Keeping the mask in place, I added the 3/4 inch circle mask for the moon and then used a large stipple brush to add the Baja Breeze ink for the sky. I also stippled on some darker Blue Bayou along the horizon.
The skaters were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with detail clear EP, then I did the reflection technique. After watercoloring them with markers (Old Olive, Real Red and Blush Blossom) and a water brush, I masked them before proceeding to the pond.
Using another Top Note white layer, I created a mask for the pond by tracing a Nestie's oval shape and cutting it out. Baja Breeze was stippled over the masked skaters, and then some darker Blue Bayou was added underneath them for a moonshadow effect.
Keeping the pond and skaters masks in place, I smooshed a Versamark pad over the pond area, removed the masks and then heat embossed with clear EP to create a more icy look.
Finishing touches were adding DD glitter on the ice with the Quickie glue pen and then adding the sentiment, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with detail clear EP. I also lined the edges of the red Ski Slope dp with a black marker.
A nice bonus: This is flat for mailing.

Oh, my, Linda! You're on a roll! This is fascinating--I read every word. What a beauty! It looks very chilly out there. I don't think they're dressed warmly enough. You've conveyed so much feeling and atmosphere in this scene. Fabulous!

This is perfect! You did a wonderful job creating the icy rink & reflection. It's a beautful scene, I can't seem to put into words how awesome this whole scene is! But I love it!

I am totally in awe of your work! Your image is colored beautifully, and your mirror technique makes this far and above all other similar cards! This is spectacular and sounds like it was too much work, but oh the end result is a magnificent card.
