I have a Celtic horse image that I really wanted to use for the paper molding on this card, but the detail was lost in the process.
The end result for this Father's Day card is very simple, but the steps to get there were a little more detailed!
I made a polymer mold of the horse with a Foamie horse, if you can believe it! After it baked and cooled, I used paper linting to mold the horse as it appears on the card. I often tea dye the linting before molding it to give it a bit of an aged look, but this time I was going for the pure white to see if it would have the appearance of being cloud-like. It takes a while to dry, but I helped it along with tea towels and my little oven dedicated to such stuff.
So this is a first ... I'm ready six months early for Father's Day! LOL
Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Divine Ms M, this is so spectacular. Of course, you have to know I have no idea how you did this, but I can certainly appreciate the end result! Fabulous card.

Oh how I love this. Sounds like it took some time to conjure up! Love the blue background though, well yeah, it is my favorite color you know! Love the pure white too. What an original father's day card. TFS M.

Gosh, M, that is so creative. That relief effect is wonderful, it reminds me of a range of pottery that a friend made. Looks like Pegasus (without the wings) galloping through the clouds.

This is wonderful! I only did this technique once, (under a watchful eye of my buddy Jenny), but mine did not jump off the page like this! SO beautiful!
