I had such a hard time picking a card from the FS gallery today- there were SO many that I liked! I decided on this one: Inspiration Bird by annascreations at Splitcoaststampers
I decided I could try to make it into a Christmas card.....since I need about 98 more..... (well, I did need 99!).....
Anyway, I came across this PSX stamp that called my name- well, it is Christmas themed...... I have also been studying the blog of all blogs to learn about Copic Markers, so decided to give that a go as well....so this is my first card with Copic markers too.
I changed the size of the card- it is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
Changed the image- also from a bold image that is embossed to a detailed image that needed coloring- am I crazy? I had to research what kinds of birds are in the image- not sure if I got them all right or not........
Instead of ribbon, I added a decorative strip of red scrapbooking trim, and also added dew drops to the corner of the picture.
Designer paper is a real challenge for me- it is so hard for me to get the right blend without taking away from the main image- especially since this one has so much going on.........
I added a touch of glitz to the smaller leaves with a gelly stardust pen, and a touch of a white signo pen to the pine leaves and the berries.
The copic blog is: http://ilikemarkers.blogspot.com/
Thanks for looking- and reading my book!!!

I think the colours look just perfect!! Great work on your copic wreath!! It looks just beautiful and oh so Christmas-y! I am enjoying my copics very much too - but there sure is a learning curve to it- and it looks to me like you have that master! Beautiful work!

So I decided to check out your gallery and see this gorgeous card. What a great wreath and beautiful job coloring it. Those copics are fun, but hard. At least that has been my experience. I love your colors with this paper!!!
