She is waiting so patiently for Christmas to arrive! This is for my middle daughter's Christmas card. It also fits the sketch Claudia developed for the magnolia-licious yahoo group, thanks Claudia! And you can also play 'spot the mistakes' on this card. Grrrr, I have such trouble watercoloring those tights. The color bled from the mittens onto the tights and then vice versa, so I covered that up by aha! paper piecing the mittens and then the scarf to match. Then I tried to cover up the color bleed on the tights by washing it over with twinkling H20s and they got blotchy! She doesn't look too bad in person really. Then I cut the strip of burgundy too wide for my taste, then cut part of it off, then didn't want to waste it after I'd punched through that thick paper, so I put it on the other side of the green snowflakes.
The stained glass technique is one I've used before with a PTI Santa image, I think it comes in handy for the ornament, they should be super sparkly! Thanks for looking.
