Look at that lil cowboy- 4 yrs. old! That's Bubba alright. A long time fan of the Duke, I thought this would be the card for him. Thanks to Vicky Gould for sending these images to me long ago!
The Duke was watercolored, and I used the cracked glass technique over the top. The bg is faux leather, and the lovely metal photo corners are from the sweet Marilyn Preston, thanks Peggy!
Thanks for looking, and Happy Birthday Buckle Man!

Son of a gun, I can hear the Duke now. I can almost hear every word he said in The Searchers! That's gotta be the best movie he ever did.......Love the card. Happy birthday, Bubba. You sure were a cute little boy.

Oh, gosh, look at the cute picture of cowboy Bubba and he even has a gun and holster on. He looks like he meant business even back In the olden days, as my kids call it. You did a fab job on making your frame look like
the original one. I like the cracked glass and the hanger with the leather.
I can see why he would be so pleased with it.
I guess I will have to come to Clovis to see the rest of that picture.
Hope Bubba has a fantastic birthday, he deserves that and more.

Oh, Pat, you did a fabulous, fabulous job - right down to the piece of rawhide. Give your Bubba a hug for me - and cherish every moment - ya just never know. Happy Birthday to the ol' guy or should I say, 'Happy Birthday, Pilgrim!'

Holy Smokes.....as in Gun Smoke!!!! Pat you are amazing! This is fantastic! I would never have thought to use the cracked glass technique. As a matter of fact, I've never tried it. I know the Buckle Dude was very pleased to get this one for his BD. Gunner (mi Esposo) also is an avid JW Fan. Lives for westerns! Call him Redneck. I'm hoping the Buckle Dude had a terrific day with lots of cards as there's tons of folks out there that love his sense of humor...........although its a bit WARPED!!!! HA!
