I did not like this color challenge a 'tall, Emily... but I hung in there and have an acceptable card. I can't wait to see todays' gallery and the vision for the grey in everyones work.
Even after working for quite awhile, I still feel the grey washes out my collage. Do let me know what you think! This is heading off to my parents this afternoon...we are too far away geographically, I am thankful we are close in heart. I used the Hero Arts collage thankful inked with Adirondack terra cotta on the very vanilla. The right edge of the image is hand carved over three layers to give added detail. Stamped again the poppy and UTEE'ed, added a sentiment button in the center. I used a puff pen on the thankful. This is a tri fold card. I used Ma Vincis playful heart Alphabet on the right side to express my gratitude. Then that panel was cuttled with the Allegro folder. My card is finished off by tying it together with silk grosgrain ribbon using the slot punch from SU.
I appreciate your compliments and any thoughts you have on this CC, too!

I know you know this about challenges: they so are not in our comfort level!!! Is there a scripture lesson here for me and U? PM me if you think of one!
Love what you did with your challenge, BTW. The sentiment on the tri panel is awesome. The Black defines the colors and gives the POP POP POP! The tiny mustard ribbon treatment adds alot of warmth to the design too! BTW have you ever read some of the articles on "the christian challenge"? It's angelican in nature - really deep stuff that will challenge one's belief system. Hugs!

I think it's beautiful, Susan! You've once again put together a wonderful collage! I have to say, I'm with you, though, on this color combo. It was hard to fit the gray (such a cool color) in with the warm rust and vanilla. You did a great job and took your usual creative approach! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
