My granddaughter will be 16 in January and I got a head start on making it to relieve the stress involved in waiting until the last minute!!! What a novel idea!! This was hard for me due to the precise cutting involved in making the pop up. The directions on splitcoast only needed a slight change for me to understand. The cool part is in making the cupcake part. Crimped the paper for the bottom of the cupcake to make it appear like the real cupcake holders. I stamped the icing three times on plain white paper (not cardstock) and on white mulberry paper. I cut some of the image off on the second layer and made the top layer by cutting the design somewhat like the original. Puffed them up by putting them in the palm of my hand and rubbing the edges with a smooth end of a plastic tool to make them puff in the middle. I layered them on the cupcake image and put sprinkles on them. It was fun but time consuming.
Hope you like it. Comments appreciated
