This is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge - to be inspired by the fashion, decor or theme of the TV show, Mad Men. I've not watched this show before, but enjoyed browsing the photo gallery. I chose this sweater worn by Betty Draper as my inspiration: http://blogs.amctv.com/mad_men_photo...-08-madmen.php
I was inspired by the colors and the stitched element on the sweater. It reminded me of a snowflake so that's the direction I went in.
I stamped the image with Stazon Timber Brown onto Naturals White CS. I colored parts of the image with markers made from Fantastix and reinkers. Sponged lightly around the image with Baja Breeze then sponged the edges with Antique Linen DI. Highlighted the snow with a little Frost White pigment ink. Added ribbon and a couple of brads and was done.
Thanks, Stef, for another fun inspiration challenge and Denise, for a great sketch!

Good grief, I never even noticed the Series 1 photos. You're so right, it looks just like a snowflake, and that retro snowman is spt on for the feel you achieved with those soft distressed papers.

Carla, this is great card with that wintery scene ... one that you and I wont see here in NC. Wish I could create a card just like this! It's really great.
