I love Bella Rose and the this years "in colors"!
I made this for my neighbors birthday.
This is made with a file folder that is scored at 4 3/4 and folded. It is that easy.
On the punch inside I wrote to do list; coupons; receipts; important information. Of course I had to make a matching birthday card.
The extra book is a 2009 calendar book from the Target bins that I altered. I loved the plastic so I took out the front cover they had put in the book and made my own.

What did you do to get the flap that goes over the top and how did you keep the folder together when folded. I made one similar but used a ribbon around the folder to keep it together.

the flap is just a piece of paper I folded that is glued on the back of the file folder when it is closed. Not more than an inch. It stays closed from the weight of the "to do list" pad of paper. If you move it to another spot the file folder will pop open.
