Thanks Kim for a beautiful example of the watercolor paper challenge today. Your card is stunning! I chose to watercolor a rose image from B Line Designs.
The flower is inked with Olympic Green Versafine. I used Derwent watercolor pencils to paint my gorgeous blooms. I knew just what sentiment I would use, but was tickled when my sign painter man billboard just fit. Both are inked with Archival Black and embossed in clear ep. The paper was Neenah smooth white. I popped the upper part on foam mounting squares and the bottom was adhered directly to the DP. I wanted the perspective of a long look up! The rose is indeed cut and popped on foam, I tied a bit of fiber to the stems. The card is from SU Bella collection. I used another to add a scallop border. Two ribbons were used, the mustard grosgrain which I wove through the slot punch and a small black flat weave under the scallop.
Thanks so much for having a look, I am always encouraged by your comments. I hope you find a rose somewhere today that you take the time of inhale deeply...there's is truly nothing like that smell!

Beautiful Susan, this rose looks like it has just been picked from the garden, I particularly like the leaves. I have a garden full of beautiful fragrant roses...and this looks as good as any of them!!! I love the signwriter and the perspective you have given the sentiment - adds up to one amazing card! Thanks for sharing!
