oh how exciting to see WendyBell as FS92! I just love your style and your butterfly project to your DS. And you've got a girlz in house stamping bff...don't see there's much more you could ever want! I had a great time in your gallery, starting from the very beginning and there are quite a few of your cards in my favorites...in the end though, I just had to go withthis one. I loved the shape and the color! I kept those elements and changed the rest. After seeing all the DD interactive cards this month, I knew this one would be a music theme.
This card is all based on an awesome plate of unmounted stamps from Artistic Outpost. I absolutely love this Hank Williams song. I stamped the big music/leaf/cowboy background in GP white with a big and juicy ink pad, lightly embossing and cutting the bg out. Basic Grey's Mellow paper which includes a sky is behind this image. I mounted all onto the orange, again from the mellow. I stamped the leaves over and over and over and over again in the bottom corners with 4 different combinations of TH di inks. I LIKE the effect. The little cowboy is inked on SU very vanilla with Adirondack ginger and his pants are paper pieced. He's popped on foam. I used UTEE on the "Singing" sentiment in the main image. A strip of dusk Making Memories cs has been cuttled with the allegro folder. I added a piece of vintage sheet music, crumpling it. The song is inked with VersaColor black directly to the paper. I used a bone folder to score my fold and purple seam binding to connect my front to the card body.
I'd love to hear what you think and if you're not familiar with this tune, or you'd just love to hear it again... is rockin' here!
Do enjoy your day, Wendy...you are my kudos for your talent filled gallery!

What a wonderfully artistic card, Susan!! This is absolutely amazing!! That little bit of torn and rumpled "sheet music" just makes this card complete!! Thanks for the lovely compliments, too!

You've got that song running in my brain now. It is a classic and I love the card you created to share the message of the song with all who will delight in seeing this fabulous card.
